PodCasting Broadcasting Live or Pre-Recorded Video and Audio On the Internet

Cambrosia INC. has entered the race for PodCasting Technology by developing a world wide network of live and prerecorded media available to the public for free. Cambrosia, has since its inception, been dedicated to the concept of enabling the individuals of the World Community to finally be able to express themselves fully by delivering a Technology to the people that allows them communicate and express themselves and their individuality for the entire World to experience.
The Basic Idea
In order to provide to the world and alternative to what the Big Tech and Media companies now provide a new structure has to be created that allows individuals a way to bypass the current system (Commercial Television and Radio) with a new network. The Internet provides that capabilty in conjunction with other technologies such as mp3 players and Pocket PCs and destop PCs individuals can now download content from other individuals via the Internet. Also with very affordable software like the Cambrosia Transmitter and a PC with an audio or video capturing device an individual can quickly and easily create their own media content. In conjunction with the Transmitter is the Cambrosia network which contains the information necessary to locate the worlds content. The MediaCasting / Webcam Viewer can then be used to quickly locate and view the content.
All the user has to do to be a part of thisexciting phenomena is to use the Cambrosia Software and log into the Cambrosia Server using the Transmitter. Once logged in they will automatically show up in the directory according to the topic and location that they preselected within the user settings screen. A media content providor can then broadcast live or pre-recorded content. Within seconds after logging in your content URL is inserted in the index and is able to be found by millions of Internet users. This is incredibly powerfull and exciting technology. It gives non-programmers the abilty to easily get onto th Internet and be heard / discovered by millions of other Internet surfers.

Podcasting or what Cambrosia calls MediaCasting is an extension to the platform that Cambrosia has established. We are going to organize and compile the worlds media content and make it available to the public at no charge. Eventually over time this will be where millions of people congregate and find online alternative media content (podcasts / mediacasts). This format allows the Internet surfer to find newscasts, sportscasts, commentary and a varity of entertainmentcasts on a grand scale. The user using the MediaCasting / Webcam Viewer can search by geography or topic. In many cases going directly to where the news event or media event is occurring and not only witness the news but get commentary from the people that experineced the event first hand. The sky is the limit. People can do anything with this system. Live or prerecorded tours of art galleries, live or prerecorded performances of all types are possible. Local sporting events that would never get coverage from conventional television and radio can be placed onto the Internet in only minutes. This technology used with a pre-existing Website is a great way for the indidvidual or small group to get their content out for the World to see.

Becoming an audio podcaster
You will need a computer, a microphone and some familiarity using audio recording and mixing software, such as Audacity, available free at audacity.sourceforge.net.

Becoming a video podcaster / MediaCaster
You will need a computer, a video recording device or Video capture device and some familiarity using video recording and mixing audio into the video file. Subscribing to a podcast
You'll need a computer, podcast recieving software, called an aggregator, and a mp3 player to listen on the go.
Free aggregators are available at iPodder.org, iPodderx.com or dopplerradio.net. A subscription enables automatic downloading of the podcast to your PC or Mobile device.
Subscribing to your favorite podcasts can be tricky, asthe steps can vary. See the tutorial at http://mediablab.com/podcast. The basics: Look for a White on Orange XML button or a button that says RSS 2.0. Click on the Button.
